Czech lady traffic officers rescue two dogs near roundabout in the rain

25.6.2024 In the dark and pouring rain, a German Shepherd named Peggy and her friend, the Leonberger Barny, were running dangerously between cars near a roundabout. Their lives were at risk of being hit by passing vehicles, drawing the attention of passing lady officers from the traffic inspectorate.

Quick Action by ladies

Seeing the danger, the officers acted immediately. They placed Peggy into the service transport carrier for her safety, while carefully guiding the very shy Barny onto a nearby side road. Thanks to Peggy’s collar, which displayed a contact phone number, the officers were able to reach her owner quickly.

Reuniting the Dogs with Their Owners

It was discovered that the dogs belonged to two neighbors from Provodín, eight kilometers away. This was not the first time they had escaped from home. Apparently, Peggy often goes to fetch Barny, and he follows her. Following a phone arrangement, the owners collected their pets at the agreed location. They expressed heartfelt gratitude to the officers for their quick thinking and dedication in rescuing the animals.
